What is happening…...


So, as you might (or might not) notice, there have not been any updates for a while. Sadly, the last few weeks/months have not been kind to me. Right after finishing v7, I decided to take a small beak from game development and play some games in my spare time. The game of choice was Assassin's Creed Valhalla which I played a lot more than I thought I would. Some time after that there were some major personnel changes in my daily job and a close family member had (still have to some extent) rather serious health issues so my mind was not really into game creation. Things are slowly getting quiet but I am still not in place when I could get back to work on this game. Hopefully in a few weeks.

In the few precious hours of free time I had, I have been experimenting with new mechanics for the next map. I have created, to varying degree of success, few new scripts such as:

  • script that would allow for blocks to “skip lanes” and/or follow moving waypoints
  • auto-turret script for targeting and destruction of blocks in line of site
  • pistol firing with variable firerate and overheating/cooldown (overheating does not work at the moment thou)

Some srips work, some not. I am also getting close to the maximum performance I can get from the first Oculus Quest, so I might have to scale down some features…. :-(
