Patch v5


Sadly, there are not as many new features as I wanted for this version. I spent way too much time on code rework - this is a learning experience for me so as I learn new things I sometimes go back and redo code with new knowledge. While I was at it, I also changed a few things in already existing mechanics.

After some testing, I decided to remove the “Random” option from "Block spawn speed" - it didn’t feel right as it disturbed rhythm - and replace it with a new option. I also rebalanced “Block movement speed”.

Notable new features include the “Miss penalty” setting and an addition of a scoreboard. If you enable “Miss penalty” you will get extra points for each correct selection but you will lose points for each missed/incorrect selection. Scoreboard will list your personal best and scores from the last 5 games you played. Please note that the game will not save/load your score (or setting for that matter) so each time you start the game you will start with zero.

For the next update I am hoping to get saving/loading to work. I am also looking into graphic update - the current environment is meant only as a placeholder - which means next few updates might take longer than usual.
